I got a 4 on AP Physics C NM exam. I studied pretty hard for it; I know I got between 55-70% right on the Free Response (after review of the packet after the exam). And on the MC, I left 5 blank and of the other 30 I felt pretty confident on all but 3-4 of them. I know a kid who also got a 4 on the exam, and he didn't study and wasn't proficient in the material.

I know the curve is pretty lenient, so I was a bit concerned about not getting a 5. Is it possible that I just got a really high 4 and he got a really low 4? Or should I contact the board to check it out-rescore?

Eh, I thought I got a 3 because I didn’t really know the material as good as I would’ve liked and didn’t do that well on MC, but I ended up with a 5… So idk.

Chances are rare for an improvement in scores after a rescore. Others who scored a 4 and studied a lot would probably feel the same, and even feel indignant towards people who, apparently, did not study.

Dunno man, I thought the curve was super lenient. You know that FRQ that asked to label the forces? I didn’t even put normal and instead put centripetal, lulz. I got the same score. On second thought, maybe this means that you should try re-score.

I want to say that I got about the same amount of the FR as you, but I can honestly say that I guessed on about 10 of the multiple choice and got a 5. So either I got really lucky, or you messed up on some of the ones you though you knew.
