yikes… i got assigned to mayer hall of stouffer… definitely not my first choice. i read the brouchure and only 36 freshman live in there! I’m in a triple so i guess I won’t be too alone but is living with mostly upper classman as a freshman okay? And what’s mayer hall like?

Hi there, and welcome to Mayer Hall. I will be a sophomore next fall and will be returning to Mayer. You should know that Mayer's rooms are the largest on campus. You are lucky to have apartment-style housing freshman year. The rooms have a kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom, two large closets, and plenty of furniture (kitchen table and chairs, couch, two cushioned chairs, beds, desks, desk chairs, lamps, bookshelves). Mayer freshmen live three to a room, but most other rooms are two to a room. Three to a room is not bad at all. Your best bet is to bunk two of the beds, but it is possible to have all three on the ground in the bedroom. All freshmen in Mayer live on the 5th and 6th floors, so don't worry about not being around enough freshmen. The rest of the building is primarily upperclassmen, but you'll find plenty of people to hang out with, especially on your floor. The community in Mayer and Stouffer is really great and you'll always be hearing of house events and study breaks. If you have any other questions, feel free to email me at kevinrak@seas.upenn.edu.
Take care!

S's boarding school roommate will be a freshman in Stouffer. He's in a triple. He's a wrestler and one of the other kids is also a wrestler.
