<p>If the key is to buy the notes… which comes from the lecture… why would it be a waste of time to go through the lecture?</p>
<p>coming to the lecture adds transportation time of going to the lecture and listening to the tons of asides (I wouldn’t be suprised if it was over 50% – you are better off spending that time learning the material); moreover, the material in the lecture may not be explained in the clearest way possible, and therefore you may then need to re-read it in the lecture notes (which are edited and way too more comprehensive), so why not to just skip the lecture entirely… but that maybe just me…</p>
