McCain plagiarizes wikipedia

CQ Politics | Political Insider - Did McCain Plagiarize His Speech on the Georgia Crisis?

Using wikipedia to write high school papers is bad enough. But using it to make foreign policy decisions?
I guess we underestimated McCain's knowledge of the internet after all.

hahaha that is ridiculous!

lol. Unfortunately this isn't going to be a big deal, America already knows they have a buffoon running, but it doesn't seem that they care.

^^ Some of us do. I'm very ashamed of this so-called "democracy" that we have here.

just like obama doesn't write his speeches, neither does mccain. someone on his staff should be fired, but this doesn't say a damn thing about mccain himself.

i don't like him... at all, but i believe in giving credit where credit is due, and vice versa.

Classic lulz from the right as always.

^^^^^^commie

So, who are we electing, McCain or McCain's speechwriters?

neither :)

I hope

so.... you would rather have the other guy... the socialist candidate...

A presidential candidate should be accountable for all mistakes of his assistants. If he is simply to be the brainless deliverer of speeches and thoughts written by others, then we might as well not have an election at all and just keep what we have now.

It's like my classmates are writing his speeches.

No joke, one of them c/p'd an entire Wikipedia article for his paper, without realizing that he'd included some humorous vandalism in it.

He didn't do well.

His campaign also stole recipes from one of the online recipe sites and claimed they were family originals from Cindy McCain's kitchen early in the race. Cookies, I think.
I agree that this latest move shows very poor judgement and thinking.

Come on. Wikipedia? His speech writers could have at least gone for Encyclopedia Britannica or the World Book. Show some class.

"so.... you would rather have the other guy... the socialist candidate..."

You mean Brian Moore [Brian Moore (politician - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Moore_(politician%5DBrian">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Moore_(politician)) ?

Well if you don't like Moore or McCain, there's always Obama =).

no. i mean the democrat.

MCCAIN 08!!!

Non-story. The bigger story should be about how when McCain is taking a rare time out from making a farce out of this important election with ditzy ads, he simply lies about Obama's positions (tax on $42 000 earners, tire gauge energy plan).

"A presidential candidate should be accountable for all mistakes of his assistants."

then what about the mistakes made by obama's staffers?

MBP:

It depends on what it is.

I don't think it's a big deal that he didn't write the statement himself. This is signifcant because he is using Wikipedia to justify his foreign policy.

If this guy gets elected, we are in for one wild ride. MCCAIN '08! ;)
