I am considering biomed. eng. or biochem as potential majors in college. Concerning Northwestern, is it harder to get into McCormick compared to Weinberg?

oh my goodness, same! SOMEONE PLEASE ANSWER. HOPEFULLY A NORTHWESTERN PERSON?

The number of students in McCormick is much less than that of Weinberg. However more students apply to Weinberg due to the diversity of majors offered. There should be no significant difference.

I heard that Weinburg is the most competitive, but not by much, choose the one you want!

I actually think that McCormick may be more competitive. However, as a McCormick student I know that the EA sequence is a particularly challenging one, especially if you don’t have programming background.

However, the career/recruiting opportunities out of McCormick are unparalleled. You won’t be getting the same employer/corporate attention out of Weinberg as you do out of McCormick.

EA as in…early decision? sorry, confused
how competitive is biomedical engineering though out of other schools?

i only have had an internship at a hospital doing like more bio related reserach, soo is that bad for bme?

I think he is referring to Engineering First or Engineering Analysis ;-)

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH haha oops sorry my bad
but do they look for biomedical engineering background to help you with getting in in teh first place?

We don’t have biochemistry as a major, we have it as a concentration of chem just to clarify.

The schools pretty much accept the same amount as far as I know (other than maybe Bienen) so don’t decide by admission. Decide by which one you’re leaning towards. It’s easy to change, and it won’t affect your decision.
