Aghh mcgill still doesnt have my mid year report yet. Might have to call.

Got accepted

attend top 10 prep school (Milton, Exeter, Andover etc..)
GPA 3.2
SAT I 2160
AP Micro 5, German Language 5, European History 4,
SAT II World History 710, Lit. 680

So I heard canadian schools really focus on Senior Year. Can any of the people that got accepted confirm this?

^ya...they really focus on senior year (termed Grade 12 up north).
In fact, most Canadian schools don't even look at Grade 11 marks for admission, just a couple of Grade 12. In the case of Mcgill's February Decisions tho, Gr11 courses are probably reviewed. I don't know how they look at US students tho.

^ Then Grades 9 and 10 aren't looked at at all?

Yeah, they must because I basically got all Cs and was on academic probation my freshman year but got straight As my senior year. I am a US student by the way so they most be concentrating on Senior Year.

crap...my gpa was 3.9 uw and 4.71 w up until Junior year. But I got FIVE Bs in first semester senior year in four of my AP classes and honors physics..
does that look really bad to Mcgill?

Ya, same for me. My first semester senior grades were terrible! I did write them a well-written letter, plus i have other stuff, but I can't help but worry. I know they really look at senior grades, but I'm not sure if that's for US applicants too.
All we can do it wait!

Accepted to Desautel's with the $3000 entrance scholarship.

Canadian High School - 94% average for first semester senior year. Slightly lower for my last 2 years.

Did anyone apply for Major scholarships? And does anyone know how soon they'll release those? I read a vague "few weeks after the decision" on their site but I'm anxious.

So I'm guessing you're notified of whether you receive a $3000 scholarship on Minerva? Where exactly would that info be?

Accepted: Mechanical and Civil Engineering
1980 SAT
3.8ish GPA

Question: Do decisions ever come out on weekends? Or do they only release things on office hours? (mon-fri)

Thanks

I got the letter today. I got an entrance scholarship. I couldn't tell this from minerva. I was really surprised.

Accepted Faculty of Environmental and Agricultural Science... 2210 SAT, 4.0 GPA ... i'm still waiting to hear about Faculty of Arts...

ACCEPTED =D a few weeks ago,

rank: around top 3-5%

thats about it! i had great ECs, but mcgill didnt care hahaa

also I'm Canadian, from Vancouver, BC. SATs werent required, but i sent them in anyways because I had taken them for US schools... so what the heck?!

good luck to you all!

^Just to clarify...
