Thanks awanderer! :)

I believe you can find your scholarship status when you log into Minerva...just click on the link that says Scholarship Status and it should bring you there. You won't get an email about it though.

Accepted to the faculty of arts!
Hey, which U0 program are y'all doing?

$3,000 Renewable Major Scholarship - didn't quite meet the ACT cutoff so happy to get a renewable scholarship.

So I just checked Minerva, and I found out that my first application, to Arts, is still "Awaiting further review" (pending midterm grades, I assume), but my backup application, to Arts & Sciences, was "Rejected - not meet academic requirements."

Do you think that because the other application was rejected, I should give up hope on getting into McGill? Granted, my math and science grades were much weaker than my humanities grades, but even so....

Thoughts?

jotc: From what I've gathered, Arts&Sciences is actually a new, highly selective program at Mcgill, and is far harder to get into than other faculties... So don't freak...

Yea, I've seen a couple of people who got rejected from arts and sciences but had stats that were as good as mine, and I got accepted into the faculty of arts as soon as I sent in my midterm grades. I think they don't really care about classes or grades that aren't related to the faculty you're applying to (so if your math and science classes were weaker than humanities classes, you still have a good chance, in my opinion)

has anyone here who applied to the B.A. & Sc. degree program heard back yet? i heard back from the faculty of sciences but not the interfaculty program i applied to. i'm stuck on "reviewed- decision pending"

I hate that reviewed - decision pending thing! I've had it for over 2 weeks now on both of mine! Helpppp

accepted into faculty of arts!! :)
US Student

but i have a question...i also applied to the management school and it still says "further review required" .... does that mean that it wont give me a decision because i already got into my first choice (the arts)? or will i get a decision on both?

eri, you're going to get a decision from both. further review required just means that they have your application materials but still haven't officially reviewed it yet.

oh yea, and i'm from the U.S. also :] i went to the info session and tour at mcgill on thanksgiving, and it was ALLLLLLLLLLL U.S. students, which was hilarious

Well, maybe it was during US thanksgiving and not Canadian (October) ???

Also, if you don't mind me asking - are you guys east or west coast? I live in Cali and haven't heard anything, so if you guys are east then maybe the assess the east coasters first...idk

Thanks

i'm from new jersey, but i don't think they answer u.s. applicants in geographic order

and yea, it was the u.s. thanksgiving in november. even so, i didn't think that there were THAT many u.s. applicants haha

mine says
reviewed - decision pending

too!!!
but my friend already heard! ahhhh

they've gotten my mid-year for almost a week now and it still says "further reviewed required" for both Management and A&S. how long were your decisions made after recieving ur mid-year?

btw anyone applied to University of Toronto?

My Scholarship just randomly showed up on Minerva today, no email about it, so keep checking! $3000 renewable. I was pretty happy about that!

lol wow, that's a fortune of application fees!
i applied to 5 schools in the U.S., got in my top choices, and really really want to get into mcgill. but not hearing from mcgill is frustrating..
