thank you so much for the kind words. my app switched to “reviewed-decision pending” on january 19. i’m hoping for the best for you!
Hi there. international applicant as well. Application posted early December and on Dec 8th it shifted to “ready for review”…and nothing since then !!! does anyone know if admissions have been released for non Canadian and non US students?
McGill just announced 2021 will be in person!!!this is good news I think!!now just have to get in:)
That is wonderful! Where did you see this?
Hi, I’m an international applicant from the US and also had “ready for review” since Dec 8th and I received my decision yesterday so it should be soon. Best of luck!
what faculty?
Oh congratulations- where you test optional by chance?
Congrats! I asked this of another applicant earlier, but were you notified by email at the same time Minerva was updated? I’ve been driving my poor son crazy asking him every day whether he’s checked, and I could relax a little if I knew an email would arrive in sync with any portal update. Thanks.
Thank you!
does anyone have information on mcgill major undergraduate entrance scholarships? i was awarded a one-year entrance scholarship and it says that my major renewable application is “being reviewed by a decision committee”. does anyone know if these scholarships are awarded together or if the fact that i received a one year scholarship indicates that i won’t get a renewable scholarship? also, these range from 3,000-12,000 but i couldn’t tell if that was yearly or split over four years. if anyone can provide some info it would be so appreciated! thanks!
The major scholarship decision is separate. Those are annual amounts.
Yes I was test optional
Yes, I was notified by email.
thank you so much!
Was the entrance scholarship awarded at the same time as you were accepted? Is there a way to look it up in their confusing portal? Thanks!
Now we just need the US/Canada border to open up again.
Major Entrance scholarship are separate and you should get notification that your portal has changed.
These are renewable but must keep a certain GPA (3.5 for 1st year & 3.7 after that). $12K is only to CDN or legal resident.
It seems the average (from what our daughter says) is $5000. As she is a CDN citizen (never lived in CDN before), she has declared QC residency and is basically tuition less (as long as she keeps her GPA up)!!!
And you get your fist or second choice of residence hall!
I thought US students could get study permits. Is that not true???
