I’m waiting on a few US schools, but McGill is my top choice
I hope I hear back soon. I just was wondering if something I did was causing this wait, and the only think I could think of was submitting an sat score but then submitting the test optional form after emailing service point.
Nope I did the same thing. I self-reported my SAT and then had to fill out the form later. I think the main reason would be that they’re waiting to see if your grades meet their cutoff. I think they usually admit from the top of the app pool down until they reach their desired amount.
Are you an AP or IB student? Wondering if there is something different about your application.
I’ve heard that, but I had slightly higher grades than my friends that was admitted.
I’ve taken a lot of AP classes, but my friend had too, so I’m not sure.
Maybe just call again on Monday? You can ask them if they can shed any light on why you haven’t heard given that your info and timing is so similar to your classmates. I would imagine they get lots of similar calls right now so they won’t be put off by it.
I actually did call last week. I was just told the normal it could be anywhere from today to May. I also emailed the self reporting service again, just to ask if anything had gone wrong. I was told everything was fine, and my app was complete and had been passed along to an admissions officer.
In the call, I was told a lot goes into making a decision, which confused me since I’ve seen they go top down based on grades.
Could I PM you?
Idk man…
Sure!
I just want to be able to stop obsessing lol, and I’m sure others still waiting know the feeling.
Trust me ik!!!
I hope everything works out for everyone on this forum!!
Did you get an email response back- where did you send the email??? Was thinking of trying that route as the phone calling never seems to get anywhere…
I will PM you!
Hello All, I had good success with calling the service point phone. My son had only SAT I and SAP Math but not the other SAT (Physics) as it was cancelled in our state. My son submitted all his SAT and AP scores officially from the College Board and they were noted as ‘received’ on his application. However, the person on the phone said to complete his TO form which he did. She said, the AO will see all his scores anyway and take them into account even if he submitted the TO form. My son was accepted a month ago to Science and also Engineering departments.
So do you think sending scores after sending a test optional form would be beneficial? They told us we couldn’t send our score if we submitted that form
Absolutely, it will be beneficial, if the scores a good. My son had SAT I of 1510 and SAT Math of 800. 6 APs (including Physics C an Calc BC with 5s). The girl on the phone said that you need to submit the TO form if you are missing a score but the submitted scores will be taken into account as another data point. You can send the scores from the College Board website
