McGill University Admissions

I’m going to be applying to McGill this fall for the Biology program. They list prerequisites as
Prereqs: pre-calculus; two of biology, chemistry or physics
SAT IIs: two different subjects from math, biology, chemistry or physics

BUT…Later they say Applicants must present the ACT or the SAT I plus at least two SAT IIs. The or threw me off, I already took the ACT so I was planning on sending that but does this mean I have to do the SAT subject tests too. Thanks and any input for application would be helpful.

They may have been missing parentheses. Clearly their web site was not put together by a math major. I am pretty sure that this is:

Applicants must present (the ACT or the SAT I) plus (at least two SAT IIs).

However, you should check with admissions. Please correct me if I got this wrong.

From the McGill website:

http://www.mcgill.ca/applying/requirements/minima/usa

It is clearly stated.

Thanks so much, I was really confused about that. I seriously didn’t want to take any more standardized tests. However, I was also wondering about the application process. I’m a Canadian currently living in the U.S and going to high school there. Is there possibly a separate application for this or do I just apply as American citizens would and just mention I’m Canadian. Thanks.

You just fill out the regular application. You will be evaluated as an American applicant. If admitted you would submit proof of Canadian citizenship and then pay the out of province tuition.
