I applied to Desautels Faculty Management and Faculty of Arts… and because I need two SAT 2 tests, I am taking US History. But I don’t think I will get score of 600 (which was shown on their admissions homepage) and worried that I might not even get 500 because I only had few days to prepare for it. If I do not get a good score, is it better to not send it or should I just send it since they require two sat subject tests?
If you take the ACT you do not have to submit the SAT subject tests. If you only took the SAT and do not submit two subject tests it would be an automatic rejection.
If I get a score that is below the minima, is the possibility for me to be rejected high…?
It depends on this year’s applicant pool. The published minima are the lowest accepted last year. McGill has had a 22% increase in US applicants so it may be more competitive.
For example, if I get 550 and the minima was 600, does it affect the result a lot? Or is it the GPA and SAT 1 that affects the most?
Are International students supposed to submit two SAT subject as well? I have applied to the Faculty of Sciences and am Indian if that helps.
@k_03 Only American applicants are required to submit ACT/SAT scores.
@groh98 A 550 would likely result in a denial if minimum is 600.
@TomSrOfBoston Alright, thanks.
