<p>I have been accepted to Mcgill university, specifically to the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, which is located on the Macdonald campus roughly 15 km outside of downtown Montreal. Although I would preferred to be in Faculty of Arts and Sciences, I was rejected. </p>

<p>I was wondering if anyone knows of the social life and opportunities to take classes in the arts and sciences while living on the Macdonald campus. How accessible is downtown Montreal? Are the students generally friendly on the Macdonald campus? How easy is it to transfer to arts and sciences after freshman year? Any input would be greatly appreciated.</p>

<p>I can't answer your question, but my cousin has the same predicament. She is deciding between Mcgill Macdonald campus, UVM and Penn State main campus. She is nervous about the commute. Let me know if you find any of the answers to your questions.</p>
