Mciver Dorm?

Any current students have any opinions on Mciver dorm?

I lived in Kenan for three semesters, which is in the same community and for all intents and purposes the same.

I LOVED Kenan. Hardwood floors, real walls (not cinder block), the lobbies look like hotels, the bathrooms were always super clean and nice, and it was huge. There was nothing to dislike. I had a view of the co-op in the back of Kenan, too, which was so nice. The bus stop is right there.

Freshman year they clumped all us first years together so on my hall there were probably 7-10 other rooms with first-year girls, and the friends I made there are still my best friends. My south campus friends would always take the P2P up to my dorm on the weekends before we went out to Franklin or where ever, too. I never, ever felt isolated in North campus, and I was very social.

I would say the Kenan community is the best on campus because it has its own private feel to it with the P2P stop right there - though some would say Old West/East are the best dorms ever (I’m not going to say they aren’t awesome) I was very biased. :)

Really, most North campus dorming is pretty great.
