Are programs like MD/MBA and MD/JD applied to after undergraduate schooling?

What schools have good programs?

Yes, you apply to them after college. Usually you will apply to the MBA or JD program after your 2nd year of medical school. Several great schools have programs such as: UMichigan, Duke, Harvard, Yale, Dartmouth, UPenn, Columbia, Cornell, Northwestern, UChicago, and several smaller schools also such as Texas Tech.

Baylor College of Medicine has both of those programs as well.

Are there any benefits to going to a program which offers MBA/MD? Does the MBA really make a difference as a doctor? Your thoughts would be much appreciated.

sure, I mean if you want to be a hospital administrator or something..

or if you feel you absolutely need the business background to run a private practice.

There's definately more potential to grow if you have the MBA along with your MD.

An MBA is very useful if you plan on practicing medicine. An MPH is maybe what you were thinking about for becoming a hospital administrator.
