Do joint MD/MBA programs generally allow for lack of work experience? Undergrads going directly to med school typically have no full-time work experience. Surely programs that offer the dual degree must make some allowance? I understand that most students deciding to do the joint program generally apply in their first/second of medical school, but they can't possibly have any full-time work experience.

I'm not sure which programs you are considering, but my friend did that at Rutgers and there it definitely did not require any work experience.

Sorry, but what the hell would be the point? I don't understand why someone would assume that med school wouldn't be enough to bite off all by itself...
