Hi. i am currently a pre-med student who is interested in obtaining an MD/MBA degree. While i am pretty knowledgeable about the requirements for both degrees im not too familiar with the path gaining acceptance to business school. i know that GMAT is important, gpa is fairly important, and work experience is very important but in your opinion what is the best way to gain work experience in a medically related field. medicine is my first passion but having the business degree will allow me to perform my job as best as possible but i am not sure that i will have enough "work experience." my profile will look something like this;

3.8gpa 3.5 yrs of straight volunteer in a hospital or clinic
work-study for 3 semesters
2.5 yrs of research with a publication (medically related)
~35 mcat but no idea what i would get on the GMAT

as you can see my entire profile is aimed at medical school admissions, do any of you have advice that will allow me to improve my med application profile while also gaining the necessary work experience for the MBA degree?

This may be an odd question but i could not find any of the answers in the combined degree forums so i thought i would try here

Thanks in advance
