I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post this question but i figured this board would have the most information for me.

I am currently an undergrad senior. I am interested in pursuing a combined MD/MBA degree, preferably at a top school if at all possible. My scores make me competitive at nearly all medical schools in the country but i am aware that scores have much less to do with business school than med school. Having just taken the MCAT I plan to soon switch my focus to the GMAT to hopefully take it this coming summer.

Knowing this information brings me to my first question. I have recently taken 2 full length-practice GMATs. I received a 660 and a 720. I understand that this is extremely difficult to predict and in reality I could get anywhere from a 400-800 but how much can i anticipate improving after studying? For those of you who have taken the GMAT, how much would you anticipate improving from when you first looked at the GMAT to the time you sat down and took it? I am fairly happy with these potential scores but am afraid that i will improve little because my biggest downfall is the sentence correction section, which I assume is difficult to improve in such a short time.

My second question concerns work experience. I know that work experience is the major factor in admissions. I will be taking one gap year between graduation and medical school to work and maybe travel. I am curious as to whether or not business schools have lower expectations/requirements for work experience for joint degree programs? This is important as it will govern whether i will be competitive for the same business schools as I am for medical school.

Thanks for any and all feedback.
