MD + MPH/PhD/MBA?

what advantages would getting more than an MD entail?

i'm looking into:
MD/MBA - hospital administration (i.e., move up the "ladder" quickly)? more skills with a private pratice...?
MD/MPH - again, hospital administration, maybe? what else?
MD/PhD - research?
maybe even MD/MBA/MPH - extreme hospital administration?

what else is there to do with those degrees (or any other MD combos)?
thanks

Honestly, you don't need an MD do to all the things you're talking about. An MD qualifies one to practice medicine, but if you don't really want to practice medicine then you'd really just be wasting your time (and a lot of money) getting the degree.

If you're not going to have any direct patient contact then there's really nothing someone without an MD couldn't do that someone with an MD could do. You'd probably be better off using the time and money to gain extra experience and specialization in whatever it is you want to do (admin, research, etc.)
