Me Vs. Valedictorian a.k.a. Best Friend

My best friend is val and i'm not. he keeps rubbing it in my face but its all good, we've been competitive since middle school. Like in tennis, i'm #3 in singles and he's #4. We basically compete for everything, who gets higher test scores etc. lol

Anyway, our current competition is who looks better (STATS WISE) to adcoms. And what better place to simulate it than CC lol.

So pretend your an admissions officer and pick who you would accept. Choose A or B.

Student A (Valedictorian)

10th-12th GPA - 4.666666666667
9th-12th GPA - 4.65
PSAT = 210 (National Merit Semifinalist)
SAT = 2300 (750CR, 800 Math, 750 Writing)
ACT = 34
10 AP's = 8 fives, 2 fours

Student B (Moi)

10th-12th GPA - 4.6666666666667
9th-12th GPA - 4.525
PSAT = 225 (National Merit Finalist)
SAT = 2350 (800CR, 750 Math, 800 Writing)
ACT = 36
12 AP's = 12 Fives

He beat me GPA wise because i received a 4.166667 FRESHMAN YEAR. Quick question though, will Colleges and Universities weigh Freshman Year heavily? Or do they just look at Us as a tie because we practically have the same GPA, withholding Freshman Year.

Thanks for participating in our bet! winner gets starbucks lol.

The National Merit Finalist is a pretty big deal. I would give you the upper hand on this one.

STUDENT B BY FAR. standardized tests tell alot. freshman year means little to nothing.

Objectively, you get starbucks.

woot pwnt! thanks guys.

Yeah. have fun at HYPS (both of u)

I would give you the slight upper hand but I think that colleges will consider other things that will separate the two of you besides the stats you show here. I know that Stanford doesn’t look at Freshman year at all. Less attention is placed on Freshman year.
