So, I signed up for a regular meal plan, but I'm wondering about a couple things.

Is it possible to upgrade to premium at a later time? I know I can add 55 points for $50, but 500 for $350 would have been a good deal if I used them.

Do the caf

If you are still interested in premium, I think you can still call the housing office to change from the regular plan to premium. You might be able to change to premium for second semester if you want to. Call housing to make sure this. I had premium as a first year and ended up having 100 meal points left over each semester. I say go with regular and add more if you need to in the end. You should also realize that there are a lot of restaurants in Berkeley. You can always eat there if you run out of meal points.

QC2 is an on campus dining restaurant. It accepts meal points and cal1 debit. FSM does not accept meal points. I am not sure whether or not FSM accepts cal1 debit.

See #1 :)

The Peets next to Crossroads accepts meal points and has the same stuff as other Peets

How do you sign up for meal plan? How much does it cost? Is it included in the housing price?

Well, then I’ll talk to housing during CalSO because 30% Peet’s may come in handy. :)

marix, I don’t know how it works if you’re not in a dorm, but when I signed my contract I had the option of upgrading to Premium for $350/yr for 500 points. It was on one of the pages when I went through checking everything, just premium or not because in a dorm everyone has to have a plan.

Thanks for the answers! And don’t worry, I’m planning to go through the list of Berkeley restaurants (with my GF)! :)
