meal plan

heyy guys. so i will be transferring to sb in the fall. i will be living in santa ynez apartments but i was wondering if i should buy a meal plan or not..

thankss!

I'm going to live their as well. For me, it is going to depend on how much time I will have to make food and how I feel about the distance of the dining commons. I will probably end up going with the 14 meal plan. This way, I can have my own food in my apartment as well as being able to eat on campus when I need to. I would rather not have to bike all the way from Santa Ynez to the dining commons for every meal and I won't be at school at day (from what I can tell so far). I will hopefully be doing a lot of studing in my apartment. I hope my observation of the sitution will help you.

food is delicious!

i have the same debate my parents want me to get a meal plan but i only want to eat on campus while i am already there....i def dont want to ride my bike from my apt just to go eat every day

Keep in mind you guys can also go to the Santa Catalina dining commons if you have the meal plan, which is much closer to you than the on campus ones.

ookay thanks! i think i might just get the cheapest meal plan since i'll still have some food at my apartment.

If it helps, there's an option to change your meal plan after a quarter, if I remember correctly.
