Meal Plans - Yes or No?

I have read in other threads that people who have kitchens and can cook should not get a meal plan at all, not even the smallest one. There was not one person who actually suggested getting a meal plan. I just want to describe my eating habits to see someone's suggestion on what I should do.

First off, I will be in my first year next year at UCF, and I hope to be in Lake Claire, which has a kitchen in the room.

On weekday mornings, I eat a small breakfast...toast, cereal, something like that. Lunch is normally average: a meat sandwich, some chips/cookies, a piece of fruit, and a drink. At dinner I eat the most, usually a full plate. Some nights I have a snack, which is usually ice cream or some other dessert. Weekends are usually the same; however, some Saturdays, I have a huge breakfast.

What meal plan (weekly or block plans) should I select? Should I even select one at all?
