I’m interested in majoring in mechanical engineering, and would really like to attend mines, but I’ve heard very little about their program. I was wondering if anyone might be able to give me a little more insight into specifics of the program
Mines has a nice balance between hands on and theoretical classes. Mechanical engineering has been well ranked nationally for years at Mines. While its a public school, it has a private school feel to it. Its getting better known outside of Colorado. While the faculty look stronger at U of Colorado Engineering, most students and local engineering firms agree, Mines is the harder program. Mechanical Engineering is king at Mines along with Petroleum Engineering.
