could any cadet tell me when you have medical exams? like, when is your first exam? or is it just go see the doc when you're sick? how does it work?

Theres alot of posts on this topic. I believe the concensus is dont worry about it, its practically nothing. They'll notice if you have an obvious scar from surgery, but you probably wouldnt get kicked out because of it. You get shots if you need them. Its really almost nothing apparently. I'd look at the past posts to verify my answer.

You could get booted out of the Academy just from having a scar from a previous surgery? I have a three inch scar on my lower abs from a hernia surgery that was taken care of in february, and three scars on my hand from a previous hand surgery in December, all of which have been cleared and I have no restrictions. Could that get me disqualified/kicked out?

Not if its been cleared...

okay thank you very much

Is nicatine in someone's blood grounds for expulsion from the academy?

What? Nicotine? Has someone been smoking cigarettes?

As far as I know... no! That doesn't make sense. After all, anyone over 18 can buy em so you're guaranteed to get someone who likes to smoke. Plus I know for a fact that some cadets chew.

Well I don't smoke but i have dipped before and I was just wondering if they tested for that.....thanks

i think ive seen a ton of usma pics involving cigars.

wow guys. Please use common sense. tobacco is legal in the U.S., it is legal in the U.S. Army, it is legal at the U.S. Military Academy. You wont be able to dip or smoke during beast, but during the academic year you can (if you want to hike uphill to the smoke pits). You will get separated during Beast if you come up hot for weed, coke, E, all that fun stuff, no cigarettes...

Don't worry about us too much, ScreamingEagle. Most of us (myself included) are just a little paranoid about getting booted over something insignificant; sometimes it slightly clouds our reasoning.

hahah, yeah, i can see that. just relax and enjoy the ride while it lasts

you can get some vitamin N during the academic year? yeah yeah yeah

do they take your blood pressure on the first day???

I hope they dont take our heart rate...cuz i'll be **&%^&'ed. Just kidding couldnt resist.
