Med Program Decision Help!

Hi, I need some advice:

I'm deciding between BU SMED and Wayne State MedStart.

BU SMED
Pros: 7 Years, Boston, higher ranking as med school, better residency match list
Cons: 30,000/yr after aid (expensive med school as well), binding program, no AP Credit

MedStart
Pros: full tuition (& room/board, book expenses, study abroad) for 4 years, possible to obtain both bachelor's and master's degree in 4 yrs (AP Credit), non-binding program
Cons: 8 years, Detroit, undergrad/med school ranking much lower

I am also still considering the U of M Honors Program (it's close to home, Ann Arbor is a pretty nice college area, less expensive than BU) - or is it better to accept the med school options?

Thanks!

I would definitely go with one of the med school options. The money definitely could make a huge difference, but I think that’s more of a personal decision. BU would definitely be a better choice if it were not for the money. Also, I don’t know much about MedStart. I’m at BU though, so you can message me if you have any questions about the BU program.

My S has been admitted to BU SMED. Can you please highlight few positives and negatives about the program
