Med School Applicants

I'm about to matriculate into a college that isn't exactly my first-choice school. I'm already considering transferring to another university after one or two years of school.

Knowing that I will probably join a number of organizations and research labs at this school, if I transfer, I'll lose the possible record of having 4 years experience. Would this completely screw me over in the med school application process? And do transfers in general have a lower chance of being accepted into medical school?

Interesting question. I dont know the answer to this though... A good place to post this might be in the Medical School/Pre-med forum or to even ask your Pre-medical Advisor for your college.

My gut feeling however is that it shouldnt matter too much to med school to keep you out. I think its just about doing well in your pred med courses more than itis about the continuity of your extracurricular research experiences.
