Transferring

I'm currently a first year undergrad student who plans to attend med school in the future. I was wondering if it would affect my admissions if I transferred from one 4-year institute to another one after two years? I've heard it could affect you on terms of experiences w/ research, connections w/ professors (since you need rec letters). Are any of these things true?

I'm attending a UC right now thats not bad at all but I dont feel like I'm getting the full college experience and I might want to switch in another year. Anyone have suggestions?

What's your rationale for transferring? A vague sense of dissatisfaction? Or is there something that you specifically don't like?
