if i apply for med school the june after my junior year, will medical schools take senior year grades into account when making their decisions? Or Is it a lot like applying to colleges early action?

They take into account your grades on your transcript. So they would not take into account your senior year grades, just what you submit with your transcript

Some schools will ask for a first semester transcript, especially non-rolling schools (Harvard, Duke, Columbia, Penn).

EDIT: Those are non-rolling schools. I don't know whether they specifically ask for a transcript or not (I sent one to all the schools I was active at).
