Med Schools looking at H.S. GPA and SAT's

I've read on several posts that some "top" medical schools ask for you high school GPA and SAT scores. I would like to have this cleared up. As I understand it, the earliest a medical school cares to hear about is the summer following your senior year. Is this true? I'd appreciate any input. Thanks.

They may ask for it but no med school places much emphasis on HS GPA and scores.

they will pay more attention to ur MCAT test results and ur grades in college. internship, volunteer work etc.

They will ask for it just to have it on file. It plays almost no role in the admissions process. Even that summer after your senior year in high school. Unless, of course, you cured cancer or won a Nobel Prize in that time span :)
