Medical reasons for downward trend of senior year grades? Affect on admissions?

I currently have a D in English for the semester, and lot of low Bs. This is definitely different than what I have gotten in years past.

I recently went to the doctor and found out I am anemic-- I have been missing school because of the fatigue and tiredness. At first I thought it was depression or being lazy, but I have come to find out it is not. I am not sure I can salvage my grades before the end of the semester (Jan 28)

What can I do? Thanks.

You need to speak with your guidance counselor and your teachers immediately. They are the ones who can tell you if it is possible for you to have more time to make up classwork that you missed for medical reasons. Your counselor can also discuss your medical situation in the letter that he/she sends to the colleges.

The most important thing is to get your health issues sorted out. If you need to delay applying to college for a year, well then do that.

My principal emailed my dad-- I am going back to school tomorrow. I guess I don’t need to be worrying about college and more about right now because they said graduation was in jeopardy. I might not get credit for the classes I am taking. Thank you @happymomof1
