Mediocre ACT, Great EC's, Good GPA...

Hey Guys, my highest ACT was a 25 Composite, so I'm pretty nervous on my chances on getting to my top school -- U of I Urbana-Champaign.

Other aspects of my high school career is a 4.8 weighted GPA on a 5 scale - Top 25% of my class. Majority of my classes are Honors, and I will have taken 5 AP classes upon graduation.

I am the Editor-in-Chief of my high school paper (In school publications for 3 years), President of Model UN (President for 2 years - member for 1), and an NHS member (since junior year). I have around 75 volunteer hours at a local hospital. (Been volunteering since August 2006)

I'm a male from Illinois. My father is Armenian and my mother is Jewish.

Colleges I'm applying to:
U of I Urbana-Champaign
University of Wisconsin-Madison
University of Iowa
Indiana University
Purdue University

Would love to hear what you guys think, thanks!

You have a chance at getting in because of your grades/GPA.

While ACT is a bit low, it's acceptable and you still have a decent chance. UW-Madison is very similar. I would give you about a 70% shot at each of those two. Wait, a 4.8 weighted GPA and only top quarter? School grades seem very inflated if that is the case. That may hurt you a bit, but you still have a good shot.

As for the other 3, you are in no questions asked.

Oh, lol my school is on a 5 scale, not a 4 scale for GPA. That's why I'm only top 25%. I'll be writing the essays this weekend, and I'll be sure to make it stand out.

Anybody else wanna weigh my chances?
