Mediocre artsy student who is neurotic and desperate.

Hah...if that thread title didn't completely turn you off of reading this...

I've posted a million of these; i'm sorry cause i know they're annoying...but i am a vey neurotic person with not-so-good stats.

My GPA is a 3.34,
My ACT is a 30(retaking)
I am going to be an English major. Creative Writing at the schools that have it.
I've been published twice, and took a college-credit writing course at the Art Institute of Chicago.
Two-year editor of newspaper- four year member.
Nine year member for 4-H, treasurer for three and founded tractor club. Also headed the Heifer International project.
Four year drama member; 'Sophmore of the Year' and 'Best Cameo'
Two year speech, two year choir, two year radio(had own show and read announcements)
Counselored, taught Sunday Schoo, and built houses which has led me to about 500 service hours.

What chances do i have at:
Emerson
UIUC
UIC
DePaul
Iowa
St. Olaf
Carleton.

...i only really care about Emerson and UIUC, which are the ones i'm most worried about... Iowa guarantees admission if you're in the top thirty percent of your class, and DePaul/UIC(i don't mean to seem cocky) i think aren't too difficult to get admitted to.
And i've never heard of St. Olaf/Carleton, so it doesn't really matter to me either way.

So... basically- Do i have a chance at Emerson and/or UIUC?

Please?

my 2 friends got into emerson, one for class of '09 and one for '10
anyway, both of them got in. their SATs werent amazing, nor were their GPAs. one of them also got in for writing and from what i heard, he didnt have a fantastic resume -- however he did go to a creative arts high school for it. sooo i'm gonna say that you have a good chance @ emerson.

By not amazing, do you mean- like, better, worse, or same as mine?

...and that's hopeful^^. Thank you~
