Aurghhdjhd. Sorry for there; i know chance threads suck. But i'm desperate. And i've gotten into three of my seven schools so far, so that may help assess? Who knows.
Okay, so i got into Iowa, UIC, and DePaul(Iowa and DePaul with money,) and i want to know about Emerson, UIUC, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and Mt. Holyoke.

I've been told i'm an odd case; i have decent scores, bad grades, and (from what i've heard,) a 'sparking' writing style. I want to be a Creative Writing, or English, major...which makes some of my admission process hard to assess, i think.

My ACT was a 30,
My GPA is 3.4 weighted, 2.9 unweighted.

I'm the editor of my newspaper, treasurer of my 4-H club, host of my own radio show, read the school announcements, participated in 16 theatre productions, wrote and directed in Film Club...and then less important things, like speech/debate, cross country, and voice/piano lessons.

I have over 500 community service hours, and have won awards for them:
I was a counselor at an overnight camp, built homes in Kentucky, taught Sunday School for three years, and was (recently) a Precinct Captain for the Illinois Green Party.

I also work at a Fabric/Craft store.

When it comes to writing- i've been published twice, won multiple contests, and took a college-credit writing course at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Goddamn...does anyone else feel like an egotistical twit when they write their resumes out?

Whatever.

I know that SAIC is one trillion percent talent-based...but for the other schools?
Anyone?
Anyone?
Help?

I won't hear from Emerson or UIUC til December 15th... and ****************.com just isn't cutting it for me.

Thanks~
