Have any of you guys met other CC'ers offline at events like college visits, science fairs, etc? I feel like it'd be a cool thing but also kind of weird, haha.

I could possibly. I met someone on CC Who lives 15 minutes away from me.

But hell yeah I would there are some madd cool people on here.

One of my best friends is a CC’er. Other than that I have no clue who any of y’all are. But if I met anyone that would be pretty cool.

Next on: To Catch a Predator

I have a real life friend at Harvard who is college classmates with someone I know from CC.

Needless to say I was shocked when that popped up on my newsfeed :P

no, not really…

i met one at a summer program… her username was her initials and i was like “wait are you from CC” kind of awk…

^^^ haha who is it? I met TheYankInLondon, xrCalico23, and Mifune one time at Harvard

Actually, I also met Poseur and InquilineKea last week, if any of you newbies are familiar with them haha

It’s always so bizarre lol

Well, one of the other CC’ers is my twin sister. (Not saying who, though).

Does that count? xD

Haha, is she a frequent poster?

@maple

Did you find their personalities different from what you perceived? I’ve always assumed CCers would have altered personalities in real life due to the anonymity of the site.

I would, but none of you seem to be the types of people I’d hang out with…

thanks. tenchar

Samonuh I don’t know how to get to Equestria, so unless you come to me we wouldn’t be able to meet anyways.

^^^ I think in hindsight it’s easier to see how someone’s personality affected their posting style than it is to infer their personality from their posts, because I focused on different trends I guess. Poseur, for instance, was definitely your typical Brown student, which explains some CCislulz shenanigans that I heard about, but I expected her to be more… bland I guess haha. IK was kind of the same thing - way more extreme personality than that which you get an idea of from here. At Harvard it was pretty much the same thing - Yankster was more British and inquisitive than I expected, Mifune more precise and calculated than I expected. Calico was pretty much what I expected overall, I guess though.

At any rate, it kind of makes me wonder what “normal” seeming CCers - people like fairy_dreams, IV, or Zapz - are like. I can only imagine what crazy people like AOM or Liist would be like in real life based on what I’ve encountered - they must be totally off the wall.

No problem

Read ‘My Little Dashie.’ It says something about the portal between the two worlds.

@maplesurrup

I have no idea who any of those people are…

@Maplesurrup

I remember reading a thread about college quality or something of the sort, and I remember a long post by mifune about transferring out of Harvard. Did he go through with it?

^^ they’re all old-timey folk

^ haha really? idk if he did. I only met him over Thanksgiving 2010, and he never posts here, so I haven’t heard anything recently. He said he didn’t like his bio classes, so I guess I wouldn’t be too surprised.

Who would honestly want to meet me in real life, based on what I’ve posted :o?

Maplesurrup: did you plan to meet up with them there, because that’s where they went to school? Or was it just a coincidence type thing?
