<p>Does U-Oregon accept or do they care about walk-ons for Men's cross country.</p>
<p>Yea just run under 4:15 or so in the mile. There are lots of 4:20 guys who aren't good enough to make the team/don't "pass" the time trial.</p>
<p>You can hang out with Jordan if you go there though!!! She's going to be a star...</p>
<p>Jordan is from our town. It's gonna be fun reading about her success at UO in the local paper!</p>

<p>Don’t follow track/cross country. She is well known here! In fact she was in the paper again today. She has volunteered at a local half marathon here a few times and handed me water at a water station!</p>
<p>Yea, she ran really well at a meet with top professionals and collegiates this weekend… That is pretty cool, I know she does get a lot of coverage and was on the front page of the newspaper after her amazing Olympic Trials run. So basically most people around SLO all know who she is? That is also cool that she volunteers there as well, is it related to the San Luis Obispo Distance Club (that I believe she is a member of)?</p>
<p>I think she volunteered at that race with other kids from her high school team…but I could be wrong. The 1/2 marathon is actually a fundraiser to support Cuesta College (local CC) track. Not related to SLDC (which I am a member of also). And yes pretty much everyone knows her. Whenever I would tell people that my son was considering UO they would always say “Oh with Jordan”? She just got voted 2nd most famous local athlete right behind Chuck Liddell in another local paper.</p>
<p>Yea, I know she sometimes does her workouts at Cuesta College, not too far from her school. Do you know Coach Mando as well? Great guy, and really has Jordan’s future in perspective. </p>
<p>That is really cool that she is so famous around the area among non runners (especially because track etc. doesn’t usually get that much coverage). </p>
<p>Does she get her autograph asked for at places besides meets :P?</p>

<p>Our local paper devoted 5 of the 10 pages in the sports section to Jordan today. </p>
