Mine still says “We are in the process of reviewing your file. Your financial aid will be evaluated and determined upon completion of review of your file.” so does that mean they are not finished with everyone yet? Is anyone else still getting this?

Average extra curriculars with some leadership
Good essays (probably others are better)
Good recommendations (probably not highest level though)

Does anyone know if Maryland will appeal financial aid packages (need based).
Only got 2k with the president’s scholarship (seems pretty low for my stats but whatever). Seeing that was most likely the only merit scholarship I might get besides a possible one from the college of agriculture, there is no way UMD will be affordable for my family. I get 10-20K more in aid before I could even think of attending :(

@woodam 2k doesn’t seem low with your stats… People OOS in the past have gotten 5k per year with a 32 ACT - I (also OOS) got 2k per year like you but with a 32 ACT this year.

@jibler I was counting on a lot more than 2k for the president’s scholarship. Hopefully they’ll come through with need aid, but it looks like I’m stuck at my backup school for now!

@woodam I don’t think public schools give out much in financial aid… I know I pretty much don’t qualify for financial aid, so I’ll probably be going to a school in-state.
