scuffs toe Aw, shucks. That's nice of you to say. You have killer stats yourself, and congrats on your scholarship!
I'm just worried they're not going to think I'm a serious applicant, and therefore give me nothing/reject me. Oh well, I'll see soon!

Acc_bound,

If you do not get enough aid right off the bat, you should e-mail the admissions director and tell her that you will definitely attend if they give you more.

Thanks for the advice, Maxiumus. I'll definitely try that and let you know how it goes.

I have friends that got accepted EA and they got their merit scholarship in the mail recently. Two of my friends got around $2000 and another got $11,000 per year. Except my friend that got $11,000 doesn't know why she got so much because my other friend that got only $2000 has better grades than her. But she thinks it was because of her SAT scores.

If you get a merit scholarship (I got an $11,000 dollar one today), would it indicate the possibility that you may be re-considered for the Honors Program?

Was there a separate application for the Honors Program? Because I definitely don't remember filling one out.

No. Apparently they consider EA applicants automatically for the Honors Program.

You had to apply EA? ARGHHGRHGRHGRHGRHGRHRRRRHGHH!!!! Why on earth did I not find out about this school before January???

I got one for $11,000 a year as well.

Just in case you guys are interested my SAT was 1970 and my class rank is 44/445

I don't think you need to have applied EA to be considered for the Honors program. I think that they will automatically consider you for it if you have the right stats.

I got into the honors program and I applied RD. I just got my package today. However, since I was late on a few financial aid documents, I haven't heard anything regarding money. Do you think there is still chance to be considered for a merit scholarship or has that already passed?

How could one get merit money and not get into the honors program, and vice versa?

Well, I just assumed that I'm not going to receive any merit money because it seems as though I would have been contacted already. I just got the letter today inviting me to the honors program, but still no word about any scholarships. Maybe this is also sent out with the financial aid notices?

If you got into the honors program, the chances are that you will get some merit money.

What percentage of the freshman class gets into the honors program each year?

i think it's the top 10% of applicants get accepted. at least that's what i've been hearing.

Yeah, that's what it says in the letter.

Ok, thanks a bunch

hey guys, i just got a letter today saying i got scholarship money (i applied RD and live about an hour outside of Boston)..umm not really sure why i got any money though haha..i really dont have any "academic achievements" but eh, if they want to throw reduced tuition my way, i guess thats cool?

though i wish i could like, give my scholarship money to someone that actually needs it & actually wants to go to this school (i really dont want to unless i dont get into any of the 4 schools im still waiting to hear from)..lol how awesome would that be if you could like donate scholarship money to other students haha

EDIT- im pretty sure mine was the one thats like $11k per year so a total of $44k but im not positive b/c my mom just like stole the letter from me and ran out of the house haha...umm yeah idk..i really think they should just give money to those who need it though, cuz we really dont haha

i need it and i want it! give it to me!
