When do they notify the admitted students about the merit scholarships? Should/did any ED-ers get anything yet?

I don't know how it works for ED'ers, but if you're applying regular decision and you receive merit aid then you will receive a letter with your acceptance letter. (The online notification of acceptance won't have any information about it.)

Actually, all ED merit scholarship recipients were notified in their acceptance packet. So, if you didn't get it in your acceptance packet, you didn't qualify for one. That being said, I believe that merit scholarships go out to about 15% of the incoming freshman class, and just getting into Rice is tough enough. Be proud of your acceptance; it's already an accomplishment in itself.

But hey! We can always keep our hope for the National Merit hahahah -_-

will that 15% go up this year? assuming you all got that email they sent out.
15% is still quite a bit for merit aid for a top university

Well, if so, the admissions officers aren't letting us know that yet. I attended an info session yesterday and the admissions officer said that merit aid is offered to about 15% of students.
