I am a first semester Freshman at the University of Michigan, and I want to go to a good med school. How much will these grades hurt, and what can I do to improve them to have a chance at a med school like Michigan's? Any help is appreciated!

dude, those aren't bad grades. give yourself a break, its your first semester in college. most people do much worse. its good to aim high, but don't discount yourself too much. As to your question, those grades are not gonna hurt you too much provided you figure out what you did right and wrong and refine your studying. If you feel ready, get some volunteering experience at a hospital.

Organic Chemistry and Calculus 3 your first semester in college? That in itself is amazing, and med schools will see you definitely challenged yourself moreso than most people. Only Math Majors take Calculus 3 at my school, way to go!!
