Messed up my grades

My midyear report, sent through the common application, had my math grade as a B for senior year first semester. However, the true grade was actually an A-, and the inaccuracy was fixed the day after the midyear report was downloaded by all of my colleges. My question is, what happens now? Can my high school send a revision? Will this change look bad?

Don’t worry about it. You won’t get rejected because of this!

I would send an email to the schools advising them of the error and giving them the contact information for the registrar’s office at your school so they can verify it, if they wish. Your final transcript will also show the corrected grade.

It’s minor, but it doesn’t hurt to send the correction, along with any other updates (new awards and achievements) that you want to make them aware of.

I would ask my guidance counselor or some other school administrator to notify the schools by either email or U.S. Mail.
