Metal and Jewelry Arts (BFA) schools

I want to major in metal and jewelry arts, but the problem is that I don't want to attend a full-out art school for it. I would like a more all-around approach and hope to possibly double-major or minor in Japanese. Does anyone have any idea for some good schools with a strong J/M program? I've tried a few online searches, but haven't found much. Is there anyone out there that is currently at a school with this major? What are some signs of a good program? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Look into Syracuse University. I think that RIT has a crafts school too.

For a start, look here: <a href="http://npda.org/concentrations.html%5B/url%5D">http://npda.org/concentrations.html</a></p>

Oooooh...thanks. I took a look at Syracuse and it looks pretty good. Currently RIT is on the top of my list. I'll have to check out the npda page too.

Also look at the University of Washington.
