Methacholine challenge test

i took it today and i think i did alright! i feel good about it… but i dont get results until a week from now, hopefully dodmerb will be quick with the processing… well it looks like ill be seeing yall soon!

Tim1210,

Good luck! My son's methacholline challenge test in December showed absolutely that he does not have asthma. We were told the results the same day of the test and the pulmonary specialist wrote a letter for DODMERB saying that my son does not have asthma. However, as I wrote to you a few days ago, we are still waiting on USAFA for the waiver! Let me know how it goes. Hope it all works out for you!

Wow, that's great, I hope DoDMERB can speed this stuff up! I wish you both the best!

what is that? I havent heard of that medical test.

Via Wikipedia:

"The methacholine challenge test is a medical test used to assist in the diagnosis of asthma. The patient breathes in nebulized methacholine. This provokes narrowing of the airways (bronchoconstriction). This is detected when the patient performs spirometry. People with asthma react to lower doses of inhaled methacholine."

Hmm thanks Zach. Learn something new everyday.

I'm In!!! See You All In 5 Days!!

Congrats!!! You must be so excited. Which, of course, will change to an intense longing for home the first night, just like the rest of us... ;) See you on I-day.

Congrats! Great to hear.

That's great to hear and I'm excited for you! Congrats and see you on "THE DAY" lol

No doubt you would get in. Good luck, and be loud. Can't be as quiet as you were around me. ;)
