Is anyone else having a heck of a time getting everything here to balance out? I'm afraid that there are a few basic concepts I don't understand.

Does anyone know if an incomplete on this assignment will have a huge impact on my grade?

Doesn't she tell you that the assignment will have a huge impact on your grade? (And then proceed to cross out grade and write "LIFE"...). I took her in Spring quarter. Good luck. I don't know of anyone who hasn't completed it before, but it does need to be complete and relatively correct for it to count. (There are some things she isn't terribly picky about, like the names of items in the ledgers, but other than that you do need things to balance out, I'm pretty sure, considering that the final correct numbers are in the reader.)

management 1a is the first class for the accounting minor. it's basically Intro to Accounting. you know, i think it might fulfill some electives for the econ major and might be a requirement for business econ major?

I don't believe its a requirement for biz econ and it doesn't fullfill anything for the econ major. You do need to take it to be able to take the upper accounting classes that WOULD count towards biz econ (like 2-4 acc courses count for straight econ too).

ooh so it's a prerequisites to requirements for some, electives for others. i see...

i actually find it harder than econ 11 (mcdevitt is a great teacher). acctg is really all about a clear, systematic head and attention to detail/technicalities. the concepts aren't exactly rocket science.

i actually liked this course a lot and im going to take mgmt 127A with her next quarter. the project isnt that bad and you'll feel accomplished after you're done. but yea try to do it on your as much as possible because it preps you for the midterm.

It is a requirement for Biz-Econ. Mgmt 1A and Mgmt 1B are both listed under the requirements for Biz-Econ. (Though they are not for any of the other econ majors. However, they are both prerequisites for a lot of upper div management classes, and you can replace up to two of your upper div econ electives with upper div management classes for the Econ/International Area Studies major.)

Ah, I stand corrected. Oh well, I assumed that it didn't really matter since Biz Econ requires you to take UD Management classes, which require 1A and 1B.
