Hello,
I am a current senior attempting to decide which college to attend. I have accepted a spot on Vanderbilt's wait list- but I am currently having to decide between Miami University (OH) and Ohio University. Both are around 4 hours from my house. Cost is a very important factor.
I have a 33 ACT, 3.9 GPA, in all Honors/ AP classes, and I am involved in many activities with leadership positions (Student Council, Environmental Club President, Mock Trial, Rocket Team Captain, Choir, Cheerleading (Varsity,) Tennis (Varsity,) Spanish Club, Math Team, etc.) I am also attending the International Science and Engineering Fair sponsored by Intel this year. Hopefully this gives you an idea of the type of student I am.

I'm leaning towards Miami because I was accepted into the Honors program and it seems as if Miami is stronger academically. It also has high acceptance rates for medical school which is very important to me. I also like that it has a strong Greek life system and a good Mock Trial team. My concerns are the price (around 8k) and the student body stigma.

On the other hand is OU which I like because....ahhhh this is where I need help. I like the campus visually, and the price (around 1k) I dislike that is has a strong reputation for being a "party school" and doesn't seem to have strong academics (aside from the HTC which I did not apply for.)

I basically want to know if it is worth it financially to go to OU- basically is there a large difference academically. (Will one be more successful in getting me into grad school/employed?)
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ANY OPINIONS/INPUT
