Hey guys I am currently a sophmore at Miami University undergraduate in the middle of my first semester. Miami my freshman year was a great time but since my good friend did not come back this year and I find myself very bored here quite often and at the same time my grades could be better. I am currently undecided major but taking pre-med classes and my goal is to be able to hold a 3.0 so I can go to the caribeans for their pre-med program which requires a 3.0. I am posting this thread to get your opinions on what you think about switching to Ohio University for my 2nd semester (Ohio has switched to semesters for those who don't know) and until i graduate. I do like to party and socialize and at the same time I try and keep up academically. My thought is that if I go to OU and work just as hard as I am at Miami if not more it'll be easier to get better grades. My worry is that Ohio University may not look good for getting into the Caribeans and med schools in the future.
PS: I am undecided leading towards med school but their is a slight chance I may switch if I find something i am more interested in (family full of doctors with good connections helps if i choose that field). Also on a side note, I am black and I know OU is more diverse. I have plenty of friends there and i've always had a great time visiting.
P.S.S: I know OSU is probably the best of choice but i'm worried I wont be able to compete in their weed out classes. (28 ACT, high school gpa 3.3, college gpa 2.5 - due to sloppyness my freshman year, could do better.)
