I got accepted to honors program EAI and it didn’t say anything about money when I got in
So those that have been accepted to the scholars program, was that stated in the packet with the merit award notice? My daughter is in state and received a Redhawk Excellence Scholarship ($9000 per year), but there is no reference anywhere to Scholars, although she did apply. Is it if you didn’t hear back, you didn’t get it?
Ah,never mind. I just read the original acceptance letter again and see “Your application to the University Academic Scholars Program (UASP) is currently under review. Final decisions regarding UASP will be released by March 15, 2019”
Must be different for different majors…my son had acceptance into both in his orignal letter.
Interesting
Maybe my question really is…if daughter got into UASP, is that the honors program? Or are they separate and she could still be notified about honors? Thanks
@julzdave UASP and honors are different programs. Each required a separate essay during the application process:

Do they send out emails about preferred names to every applicant or just accepted ones? Was wondering if anyone knew ? Thanks.
Thanks. My daughter did both. Got into UASP but haven’t heard about honors.
My son got accepted!! we are heading out to visit on 2/19/19 - we are very excited. We contacted our Admissions counselor and she was so helpful in helping us plan. Does anyone know when we find out about merit?
@PopUpZone1921 I found out about my merit aid almost a week after my acceptance if that helps.
@adaline16 that does help. How did you get notification? email? and Congrats!!
our admissions rep sent the accepted kids cookies today at school for Valentines day…how sweet it that??? my boy did not get a photo…cookie already eaten
Has anyone accepted EA2 received merit aid notification yet? We are OOS and son can’t consider Miami without merit aid that makes it competitive with his other choices. We thought he’d have received aid notification by now.
And the merit aid came today. $20,000 per year, at the bottom of the range he was eligible for. ACT 33, WGPA 3.85
Does anyone know what the requirements are to keep the merit scholarships? I’ve re-read all the letters we’ve received and looked online. I only see a minimum “CGPA” referenced … but I don’t know what that GPA is. S19 accepted EA for computer science (in Engineering School) in case that makes a difference. Thanks for any insight!
@COmomof2boys our daughter’s financial aid letter says 3.0.
Anybody get the box in the mail yesterday?
We did. Friends in town here did as well. I wonder how many people they sent it to? Maybe you had to at least attend an event to get one?
We also received it here in MD and we have never visited but will be there this Friday.
