Not going to spoil the news about the contents of the box, but I just got mine and…sigh. Cute, but not my thing I guess? That said, I haven’t put it down yet
What box are people talking about? If you didn’t get a box does that mean you were denied? I applied RD
Son got the box as well - only took him like 10 minutes to solve, but he’s really good at them. Not sure who gets them and why - son got accepted EA and has toured the campus, but is not going to attend.
Admissions are out. D accepted OOS. No financials yet
accepted! yay! does anyone know if financial aide/ scholarships come out soon
Congrats @Wall1111 – S19 was accepted EA and I seem to remember the financial info came a week or two afterwards. But, since that was in January, yours might come sooner. Good luck!
Did just accepted students get the “box”?
@Jakesmom1 if you’re referring to the box with the Rubix cube, I was accepted and I received it, so I would believe that yes, only accepted students got it.
My scholarship award mentioned a “donor scholarship” can replace a scholarship with a thank you letter… does anyone know what this is ?
@Wall1111 You are always guaranteed your scholarship for however long it says, however, the way you receive the money may change. Here’s where the donor scholarships come in. The thank you letter is something you would write to the donor to thank them for donating their money for your scholarship. Beyond that, I do not believe any further action from your part is required.
@Wall1111 they just can’t name the donor scholarship until they know if you are attending or then it may go to waste if you don’t go or they may give away too much if too many people accept, so they give it a generic name and then when you decide to go, they may assign you to a named scholarship. I have no idea how often they do that or if most people’s just stay the generic name.
Resurrectiung this thread–I have a junior very interested in Miami (we are in state). Are these scholarship y’all received guaranteed with your ACT scores/GPA? My son has 31 ACT (32 superscored–and he’s retaking end of this year), 3.9 UW. He will be going into the school of business. We did the school of business open house. Now, I’lll have to check out this Miami Bridges program that was mentioned several times.
