i was wondering, for those of you who received your acceptance packages, did a financial aid package come as well? my illinois one didn't.... and also, how is michigan with need-based financial aid?

no financial aid package comes with the acceptance letters. And I"m guessing michigan isn't all too great with the need-based mainly b/c its a state school. If you're instate the aid might be better but out-of-staters (such as myself) shouldn't expect that much.

You're only partly right, BigRed25. Contrary to your belief, Michigan is good with need-based aid for residents. It is committed to meeting the full dmonstrated need. That's been its policy for years, and in fact they consider it an important part of their role as a public university.

But for nonresident students, they don't have the same policy. Some need may go unmet and students with need will generally be seeking loans and alternative financing.

eh that's what I meant; "If you're instate the aid might be better but out-of-staters (such as myself) shouldn't expect that much."
