Michigan Aerospace Engineeing

What does it take to get into this program?

SAT
GPA
ECs ( strength )

Well, all freshmen students are admitted to the College of Engineering as a whole, without it being program specific. Thus, if you're a high school student who wants to go into Michigan Engineering:
(<a href="http://www.engin.umich.edu/about/studentprofile.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.engin.umich.edu/about/studentprofile.html</a>)
73% of students admitted
Median H.S. GPA: 3.8
Median ACT for Admits: 30
Median SAT for Admits: 1380

Now if you're already an undergraduate student in the College of Engineering and you just want to declare a major in aerospace engineering, then here's the gist:
(<a href="http://www.engin.umich.edu/students/prospective/undergraduate/programsdegrees/choosemajor.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.engin.umich.edu/students/prospective/undergraduate/programsdegrees/choosemajor.html</a>)
"Admission to a degree program depends on the student being in good standing and having completed the first-year-student-level mathematics, chemistry, physics and digital computing courses. Transfer to a program involves obtaining the necessary approval forms from the degree program office selected. In addition, the Executive Committee of the College of Engineering, following a request of a particular degree program, may find it necessary to restrict admission to that program, based on grade point averages in mathematics, chemistry, physics and digital computing courses elected in the first year."

Although I can't find it in the Bulletin, I remember hearing that you could declare if you have about a 2.0 college cumulative GPA and have at least one semester of classes at Michigan.

A 3.6+ unweighed GPA with a 1250+ (at least a 700 on the math section) SAT is pretty much required. To have a good chance, I'd say a 3.8+ unweighed GPA with a 1400+ SAT.

Could one get away with a low GPA 3.0-3.3, Excellent ECs, and 2100-2150( 1400-1430 ) V + M )?

Unless you are a URM or have exceptional hooks, I'd say a 3.0-3.3 unweighed GPA is a no-go. But Michigan accepts over 12,000 students annually...so it can happen.
