See attached. Hilarious to be sure. I'm just not sure if the Athletic Dept should be spending $ this way. For certain it shows they are flush with cash.

All this time I was wondering what the tuition increases cover. Showboating by the arrogant AD, apparently.

alopez14 - well to be fair, the athletic department doesn’t receive tuition funds. It even pays the university for the scholorships it provides. But, in the same vein, they are now overselling student basketball tickets, charging for seat licenses in the end zone, etc. and spend money on stupid PR stunts like this. Not the end of the world, but not sure if too bright.

I have to admit that I love that the MSU fans turned around and raised $27,000 in a few days for ovarian cancer. That was a classy response. Hope Michigan wins this year or that pie in the sky will turn into egg on the face.

Lighten up people, Michigan’s athletic department makes hundred of millions of dollars. It’s profit margin in excess of $5 million. This playful stunt cost Michigan a few thousand dollars.

It is good to see MSU fans taking it with the spirit intended though. Raising money for a good cause is awesome.

^maybe. But this the kind of arrogance basically forces you to eat **** when you happen to lose the game. Not sure why the athletic department would want to put itself in a position like this.

^who says we’re gonna lose…? :P
